On Saturday, June 1, he will attempt to defend his WBO, WBA and IBF heavyweight world titles against challenger Andy Ruiz. Joshua, the massive favorite is fighting Ruiz, who is a replacement for the original challenger, Jarrell Miller. Ruiz took this fight on relatively short notice for a fight of this magnitude after Miller tested positive for banned substances. Joshua, the undefeated heavyweight champion has a perfect record of 22-0 (21KOs). Ruiz’s only blemish was in 2016 when he lost a majority decision to Joseph Parker for the vacant WBO heavyweight title in Parker’s native land of New Zealand.
